Beau Desert Golf Club is hidden among the towering canopy of Staffordshire's Cannock Forest. The course is undulating heathland by nature with some links elements by design. It features fast greens and narrow fairways and visiting the rough is not recommended. This Herbert Fowler classic stands proudly alongside his other English master-pieces - Saunton, Walton Heath and The Berkshire to name but a few. The beauty of Beau Desert is hard to describe as, with only the occasional passing Stag as a critic of your ability to master the rolling fairways and testing greens. It has so far hosted The Open Championship Regional Qualifying event 17 times. (6310 yards, Par 70)

Copt Heath is a very traditional course, always presented in good condition and a challenge to every standard of golfer. The start is very demanding and to be level fours after 5 holes is quite acceptable - you will be two over par though! It also possesses many holes, which require a deal of planning to play properly. It is a flat heathland/parkland course that drains superbly and is playable all year round.  Apart from when there is frost, the main greens are usually in play throughout the year. Keeping out of the 96 bunkers will usually be rewarded with a good score; frequent visits to the bunkers will present the player with real difficulty.  The par three thirteenth can be a card wrecker for most. There really is no bail out here. A ball landing short or to the right will find a watery grave, which cannot be seen from the teeing ground. The ideal tee shot will be hit to the left side of the green, where it feeds down from left to right on the slope. 6,528 yards, par 71

Little Aston is one of England's best-loved inland courses and for many years has enjoyed an enviable pedigree in the rankings. Lee Westwood names Little Aston as his 3rd favourite course in GB&I after Carnoustie and Royal Lytham. Golfers will find a top quality Championship Course that has hosted many prestigious national and international tournaments. The course is renowned for the quality of its fairways and greens and is predominantly a Parkland course set in the mature former estate of Little Aston Hall and has a beauty all of its own. In July 1908 Harry Vardon was commissioned to convert the land into a golf course and it is a tribute to the efficient manner in which he did his work that with the exception of four holes the layout he then designed is played today. There have of course been minor alterations but the main features remain with the exception of the 17th hole where the green in 2006 was moved into the lake. 6813 yards, par 72, S.S.S.74.

Whittington Heath Golf Club is one of the renowned Staffordshire heathland Clubs. It is set out on a high piece of land just outside the Cathedral City of Lichfield. There is heather and gorse to contend with for those who stray from the straight and narrow, and you may occasionally wander among the oaks, which have grown during the past 50 years. The Club has played host to a number of top amateur events. In most recent years the Carris Trophy, Women's County week and the Women's Home Internationals. It is not a long course, but one that makes the player think where he will put his tee shot and gives him a problem with his second. Large parts of the heath were occupied by the military during two world wars, the Club continued in being throughout and some holes were kept in play, albeit in poor condition and in 1945 it was even suggested that the course no longer existed. Mr H.S.Colt was brought in to re-model and extend the course to eighteen holes, and a wonderful job he made of it, producing a challenging par 70. 6490 yards.
